From swings to monkey bars, the playground has been a key component in helping shape a child's development.
The City of Kingston now wants to shape the future of playgrounds in the city.
They have launched a new playground accessibility plan and are asking the residents for their input.
In a news release, the plan will guide the equitable development, renovation, and enhancement of the City’s playgrounds over the next ten years.
The City is planning to hold two community workshops: one in-person and the other virtually.
The in-person workshop goes Wednesday June 11 from 4:30 pm to 7 pm at the Kingston East Community Centre.
The virtual workshop is on Zoom Thursday June 12 from 7 pm to 8:15 pm.
City officials say these events will orient community members to the project and its goals, and will provide an opportunity to ask questions and discuss challenges and opportunities.
More information on the playground accessibility plan can be found by going to the City of Kingston's website.
