Over $95,000 in illegal nicotine products taken off the streets after investigation.
Kingston Police say they have shut down an unlicensed tobacco shop and seized more than $95,000 worth of illegal products in a major enforcement action.
Investigators with the Special Services Branch targeted Kanyen’kehá:ka Tobacco Trade Co., located at 32 Montreal Street, after receiving a complaint from the Southeast Health Department.
On March 26, 2026, officers executed a search warrant at the storefront and charged a 29-year-old man from Deseronto under the Criminal Code of Canada.
Police say the seizure included hundreds of cigarette packages and cartons, vaping devices, liquid nicotine, cigars and other tobacco products.
The accused was released and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
Police say the operation highlights their ongoing efforts to enforce federal tobacco laws and protect public health, adding that residents can report illegal sales through the Kingston Police reporting portal or by contacting investigators directly.
