A 39-year-old man boarded a VIA Rail train in Kingston heading to Montreal when police went in and made an arrest.
There is a Kingston connection to an arrest of a break and enter suspect in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police were investigating a series of break-ins at businesses between September 2025 and February 2026. Over $200,000 in computer equipment was stolen from 31 businesses.
Investigators say they determined there was a connection to a number of break-ins that occurred in Toronto and Halton Region.
Kingston Police Service along with Ottawa Police Service, Cornwall Community Police Service and VIA Rail apprehended a 39-year-old man who was on a train heading to Montreal on March 24.
Investigators believe the suspect was staying in Kingston prior to his arrest. They are asking the public for information on his whereabouts in the hours leading up to his arrest.
The accused is charged with 63 offenses including break and enter, and disguise with intent.
