Under the partial ban, small campfires are still allowed.
A partial burn ban is now in place in Greater Napanee as of today, August 6, 2025.
The Greater Napanee Fire Department is urging residents to follow the fire safety rules until further notice.
Under the partial ban, small campfires are still allowed. Fires must be no larger than 60 centimetres wide by 60 centimetres high and must be used only for cooking, warmth, or recreational purposes.
Open-air burning is only permitted from two hours before sunset until two hours after sunrise.
The fire department says the burn ban is meant to help prevent dangerous fires during dry summer conditions.
Residents are encouraged to learn more by visiting the Town’s website and checking the Burn Bans, Permits, and Open Air Burning section.
