Parks Canada closes Washburn Rd. near Lower Brewers swing bridge for road maintenance

Closure takes effect Tuesday and will reopen on Friday.

Motorists who use Washburn Rd at the Lower Brewers swing bridge will need to find an alternate route.

Parks Canada is closing a section of the road in South Frontenac Township for scheduled maintenance starting on Tuesday.

Detours will be marked and there’s no impact to boat traffic or Parks Canada operations at the site.

The road is expected to reopen on Friday.

Drivers though should plan ahead and follow signage during the temporary road closure.
