Flames and black smoke were billowing out of a home on MacCauley St. early Tuesday morning.
An investigation is underway into an overnight fire in the north end of the city.
Kingston Fire and Rescue were called to a home on MacCauley St. west of Montreal St. around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.
They arrived to find a single-detached home engulfed in flames with heavy black smoke. Crews managed to put out the fire and check for hot-spots.
There was no one home at the time and there were no injuries reported.
Damage is estimated to be around $250,000.
The cause of the fire is being determined and Kingston Police along with the Ontario Fire Marshall are also investigating the blaze.
