Queen St in Kingston will likely be among the heavy favourites to be named as Ontario's worst road in 2026.

The CAA Worst Roads Campaign returns for its 23rd year, giving Ontario drivers a chance to highlight roads in need of repair.

CAA government relations consultant Brian Pirvu says the public call-out of Ontario’s worst roads has seen infrastructure funding made available and repairs made.

Aside from being uncomfortable to drive on, poor road conditions and potholes can also lead to a number issues for your vehicle including tire and rim damage, as well as suspension as sometimes your alignment could also be thrown off.

Pirvu adds that a road being in poor condition isn't just about how comfortable it is to drive on. 

Pirvu says while the survey will mostly be filled out by people driving on the roads, it's open to a number of different groups. 

In 2025, Aberdeen Road in Hamilton was ranked as the worst road in Ontario, while regional rankings across the province highlighted 50 roads in dire need of repair. 

Queen St in Kingston was among the Top 5 in Eastern Ontario. County Road 49 in Prince Edward County was number one in that category and third in all of Ontario.
