An update was delivered to Kingston City Council.
Kington City council received an update on the community standards bylaw which came into effect last year.
The by-law consolidates several nuisance and public behaviour provisions to better regulate conduct in public spaces and ensure community well-being.
There were initial concerns about how the unhoused would be impacted around certain aspects of the by-law.
Director of Licensing & Enforcement Services Kyle Compeau said there's been no significant issues in that respect.
Compeau said they're looking to avoid officer burnout with respect to the community standards by-law, which has two officers dedicated to downtown and 12 across the city.
He said its been a balancing act of developing relationships and maintaining their staff's well-being.
