Motorcycle mayhem: Kingston man charged after wild ride through Verona

Several drivers reported the motorcycle speeding, passing dangerously, and weaving through traffic.

A 34-year-old Kingston man is facing multiple charges after allegedly speeding away from police and causing a disturbance at a residence on May 13.

Frontenac OPP say the man was seen riding a motorcycle at excessive speeds on Sydenham Road around 3:30 p.m. When an officer tried to stop him, the rider fled.

Several drivers later reported the motorcycle speeding, passing dangerously, and weaving through traffic on Road 38 in Verona. Police tracked the man to a residence, where he was arrested without incident.

Seth Aucoin has been charged with dangerous driving, stunt driving, mischief under $5,000, driving without plates, no insurance, and refusing to comply with police demands.

His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the motorcycle was impounded for 7 days. Aucoin was released and is scheduled to appear in Kingston court on July 15.

Police continue to remind drivers that public safety comes first.
