Motorcycle crash in Amherstview sends rider to hospital, SIU called in

An Odessa man is facing charges including possession of cocaine and dangerous driving.

The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating after a motorcycle crash in Amherstview sent a rider to hospital with serious injuries.

The collision happened Thursday, July 31, 2025, shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Bath Road at Westfield Road. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from the Lennox and Addington detachment first received reports of a motorcycle speeding eastbound on Bath Road. Minutes later, another call came in about the same motorcycle colliding with a car.

The rider, 23-year-old Brandon Kerr of Odessa, was taken to hospital by Frontenac Paramedics with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Kerr has been charged with dangerous operation and possession of cocaine. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Napanee court on August 21.

Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact the L&A OPP or Crime Stoppers.
