RCAF Griffon helicopter to conduct training flights over Kingston this coming Monday.
A Royal Canadian Air Force helicopter will be flying over Kingston on December 1st as part of a scheduled training operation. National Defence says a CH-146 Griffon from 1 Wing will conduct familiarization flights for students in the Indigenous Leadership Opportunity Year program at the Royal Military College of Canada.
The aircraft will fly no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle along its route. Officials say residents may hear unusual noise or notice the helicopter overhead throughout the operation.
The RCAF says all flights are carefully planned and monitored to ensure safety, with schedules depending on weather and flying conditions.
