It was an evening to celebrate business excellence in Kingston.
The Kingston Business Awards were handed out Thursday night at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts.
The big winner was Dr. Jenn Bossio of Tri Health Clinic who was named Business Person of the Year.
She says it was quite a surprise to hear her name called.
The clinic's specialty is sexual health but Bossio, during her acceptance speech, touched on mental health and how that is important for an entrepreneur to succeed.

The ceremony included a dance performance by the Kingston School of Dance, and Kingston singer Kyra Daniel who performed O Canada.
CEO of the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce Karen Cross says the evening was an opportunity to recognize the business community and bring them together in celebration.
