UHKF are going door-to-door to raise funds for the KHSC and Providence Care.
Starting Monday, Aug. 25, University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF) will launch its door-to-door campaign, inviting residents across southeastern Ontario to support local health care through monthly donations.
Funds raised will benefit Kingston Health Sciences Centre and Providence Care, which serve more than 650,000 people in the region. Donations help cover the cost of equipment, programs, and patient support not funded by government.
“Over the past year, donors have helped purchase more than 100 new pieces of medical equipment, from defibrillators to ultrasound machines,” said Tom Zsolnay, UHKF president and CEO. “These gifts have improved care in our community and given many people a second chance at life.”
Trained canvassers will carry ID and encrypted tablets to securely process donations. UHKF has partnered with GlobalFaces Direct and hopes to sign up 750 new monthly donors by year’s end.
