Utilities Kingston recognized for strong safety culture and public education efforts.
Utilities Kingston has received a major national honour for its commitment to safety in the workplace and community.
The utility was awarded the Public Safety Excellence Award, sponsored by the Electrical Safety Authority, recognizing its efforts to promote safe practices.
President and CEO David Fell says safety is central to the organization’s work and reflects the dedication of its staff.
The award follows a nomination by the utility’s health and safety team, which leads initiatives across the organization.
One key program, Safety Days, has reached more than 500 participants through hands-on training aimed at improving electrical safety awareness.
Officials say the recognition builds on recent honours, including being named one of Canada’s Best Safety Cultures in 2025.
Utilities Kingston says it will continue focusing on safety through education, teamwork and community engagement.
