Seasonal updates aim to boost reliability and prepare for weekend bridge disruptions.
Kingston Transit will introduce seasonal service changes beginning Monday, May 4, with several route and schedule adjustments aimed at improving reliability for riders.
The transit agency says the updates will also ensure predictable weekend service across the Cataraqui River during any planned closures of the LaSalle Causeway throughout the summer.
As part of the changes, Route 12 will operate only during weekday peak periods, connecting downtown Kingston and CFB Kingston. Meanwhile, Sunday service on Express routes 601 and 602 will be discontinued and replaced by Route 60, which is designed to offer more flexible routing if the causeway is closed.
Most routes will remain unchanged, including 2, 7, 10, 11, 15, 16, 19, 22, 31/32 and Express 801/802.
Riders are encouraged to check updated schedules and route maps online and plan trips using the Transit App, which provides real-time tracking and trip planning.
Kingston Transit says the seasonal adjustments reflect changing travel patterns and are intended to maintain consistent and reliable service through the spring and summer months.
