This brings the total number to 33 since the launch of the physician recruitment program in 2022.
Eight physicians are coming to the Limestone City.
Four of the doctors will be replacing those who have or are retiring, the other four are new to the community.
Three doctors are graduates of Queen's University, two are from outside Ontario, and three are international recruits.
In a news release, the City says this is part of their ongoing family physician recruitment program.
They say this brings the number of physicians recruited this year to 12, and 33 in total since the launch of the physician recruitment program in fall of 2022.
The City says the physician recruitment program plays a vital role in ensuring residents have timely access to quality care by attracting new talent and achieving long-term retention.
