Police are asking families to stay alert after a suspicious man approached three children walking to school on Monday morning.
The incident happened Monday morning near Sierra Avenue and Bayridge Drive in Kingston’s west end.
Police say a white SUV-style vehicle pulled up beside the children.
A man inside the vehicle, described as Caucasian and unknown to the children, offered them a ride to school.
When the children refused, the man asked which school they attended before driving away.
The children were not harmed, and police say their quick response was the right one.
Officers are reminding parents to talk with their children about not accepting rides from strangers or sharing personal information.
