Be alert of a scam that is making the rounds in Kingston.
Police investigators say an elderly person was robbed of jewelry and a medical alert bracelet during an interaction with two people.
They say one was wearing a head covering or scarf and approached the victim offering a rose. The other was in an SUV.
Investigators say the suspect in the process removed two gold necklaces and the bracelet from the victim, replacing them with imitation jewelry.
There is no other description of the suspects or the vehicle.
Police are reminding residents to be vigilant when approached by strangers offering gifts or asking for help.
