Clinic open to kids and those who work with kids
The South East Health Unit (SEHU) is hosting a free measles vaccination clinic in Kingston to address the ongoing concerns over the worst measles outbreak in Ontario in 30 years.
The clinic will offer Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) and Measles Mumps Rubella Varicella (MMRV) vaccines.
The clinic is targeting children over 4 who need the second MMRV dose, as well as school educators and child-care workers who have not received two measles vaccine doses.
The event will take place at John Graves Simcoe Public School (in the Starzone Room), 90 Wiley Street, Kingston, on March 26. It is open to students aged 4-18 who need routine immunizations and lack access to a health care provider.
Currently, there are no active measles cases in Kingston, but 32 cases have been reported in Hastings County. To book an appointment, visit the SEHU website.
