Cash comes through new HELIX fund
Life sciences companies in Kingston and surrounding areas can now apply for up to $100,000 in funding through the new HELIX Funding program.
Launched by the Kingston Economic Development Corporation, the program supports early-stage and scaling companies with innovation and commercialization. Funding can help cover costs like prototype development, regulatory consulting, and marketing strategies.
Funded by the Government of Canada through FedDev Ontario, HELIX is part of Kingston’s $3.4 million life sciences initiative, aiming to support over 100 businesses and create or maintain 400 jobs over the next three years.
The program also connects companies with over 22 partners in a specialized validation network offering lab access, equipment, and business support.
Applications for the first intake close July 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
