Kingston Police assisted Smiths Falls Police in the arrest made last month.
A months-long investigation into a stolen purse has led to an arrest involving police in Smiths Falls and Kingston.
The Smiths Falls Police Service says the case began on November 21, 2025, after a victim reported a purse stolen from a vehicle overnight.
With help from Kingston Police, officers arrested a suspect on March 10, 2026, in connection with the ongoing investigation.
As a result, a 32-year-old man from Kingston has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and seven counts of using a credit card.
Police say the accused was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
