Kingston Police and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) have arrested a local man following the interception of a package containing child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
On January 23, 2026, CBSA officers at Hamilton International Airport seized a parcel from China addressed to a Kingston resident. The package contained a life-sized doll categorized as child sexual abuse material.
CBSA immediately contacted the Kingston Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit, leading to the arrest of a 57-year-old man on February 3 at a residence near Barnsley Crescent and Acadia Drive. He was taken to Kingston Police Headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
The accused faces charges of possession and importation of child sexual abuse material, as well as failing to comply with a Long-Term Supervision Order stemming from prior convictions.
Investigators caution the probe is ongoing, and additional charges may be laid as the investigation continues.
