Step into Swim grant is funding Splash School, giving Grade 4 and 5 students extra swim time and lessons from certified instructors during school hours.
More Kingston kids and adults will soon be diving into the pool, thanks to a boost from the Pool & Hot Tub Foundation and St. Lawrence Pools.
For the third year, the foundation’s Step into Swim grant is funding Splash School, giving Grade 4 and 5 students extra swim time and lessons from certified instructors during school hours. Participants will receive a skills report and certificate.
St. Lawrence Pools has championed the program since its start and will continue its support by sponsoring Aquafit classes over the next year. The City says the popular fitness program is key for health, rehabilitation and wellness.
To meet growing demand, a new Aquafit Instructor Certification Course will launch in the coming months.
