A major boost to health care locally.
Kingston Health Sciences Centre officially launched Southeastern Ontario’s first PET-CT program this morning.
It's another major boost to health care across our listening area.
The state-of-the-art diagnostic technology will enhance access to advanced imaging for patients, allowing for earlier, more accurate, and in some cases, life-saving diagnoses.
KHSC says they'll be able to help about 1000 patients per year from Kingston and our region.
The organization adds the new scanner, made possible thanks to public donations and funding from the Province, makes them one of the few hospitals in Ontario offering this important service.
