Lets help the foodbank reach their goal!
Partners in Mission Food Bank is asking the community to step up for its annual “Food Blitz” happening tomorrow, Saturday, April 12.
Volunteers will be at 10 grocery stores across Kingston, collecting non-perishable food and cash donations to support those in need.
This year’s goal is bold—25,000 pounds of food and $30,000. Top priority items include canned meat, peanut butter, baby food, and large diapers.
In 2024, the food bank handed out a record 20,399 hampers, helping 9,131 people.
The need has grown: one in 17 residents in Kingston and Loyalist Township now depend on food support, compared to one in 19 last year.
Local groups, including Kingston’s Rotary clubs and CFB Kingston, are volunteering their time to help the drive succeed.
