Community Connections Breakfast will focus on challenges faced by military and veteran families.
The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre is hosting a new event aimed at strengthening community support for military families.
The Community Connections Breakfast will take place Tuesday, April 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Vimy Officers’ Mess.
Organizers say the event will focus on building understanding around the unique challenges faced by military and veteran families, including frequent relocations, long separations and major life transitions.
The breakfast will include networking opportunities and a discussion about military family life. Local service providers and community organizations are encouraged to attend.
The goal is to strengthen connections between community partners and improve support systems for families connected to the Canadian Armed Forces in the Kingston area.
Organizers say collaboration between organizations can help ensure military families receive consistent care and support as they move between communities.
