A lucky Kingston couple is celebrating a major win after taking home $33,778.50 in the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board’s (ALCDSB) Spring 50/50 raffle.
Raymond and Sharrol Morley heard about the raffle on local radio and decided to support the cause. The couple said they enjoy helping out when the money goes back into the community.
The total jackpot reached over $67,000, making it one of the biggest fundraisers for the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation. The Foundation helps local students and families facing financial hardship.
This is the second of three raffles planned for 2025. The next draw goes live in November.
ALCDSB thanked everyone who purchased tickets and helped make the event a success.
