Kingston City Council is backing the local music scene with a fresh investment.

The city is committing $200,000 to Tourism Kingston's Music Office as part of an ongoing effort to support its growing music strategy.

The funding will help expand access to rehearsal and performance spaces and create more networking opportunities for local musicians.

The strategy also includes a possible fair wage policy—ensuring artists are paid properly at city-run and partner-sponsored events.
