Broken glass was seen outside the Michael Hill store on Wednesday.
Kingston Police are investigating an apparent robbery inside the Cataraqui Centre.
Investigators say there was a smash-and-grab robbery at the Michael Hill store on Wednesday.
They say a lone suspect ran off on foot into the parking lot into an awaiting vehicle. The vehicle then sped off heading north.
There were no reports of injuries and it is not known what items, if any, were taken.
Members of the Criminal Investigations department and Forensic Identifications Unit are at the scene.
