Three occurred in three different sections of the highway Wednesday night.
Emergency crews attended to a trio of jack-knifed tractor trailers on Highway 401 in the Kingston area.
The first happened in the westbound lanes west of Odessa around 7:30 Wednesday night.
OPP say there were no injuries in that crash that blocked all the lanes. The highway was closed as crews cleared the scene and didn't reopen until around 10:25.
The second crash also occurred in the westbound lanes between Gardiners Rd and Sydenham Rd that evening around 9 pm.
Two transport trucks were involved in the collision, one them ended up being jack-knifed causing most of the lanes to be blocked. There were no reports of injuries.
That section of the highway was closed as crews worked to clear the wreckage. The highway was reopened at around 10:30.
Once that crash was cleared up, another occurred in the westbound lanes between Highway 15 and Joyceville Rd.
A transport truck jack-knifed around 10:20 pm causing diesel fuel to spill all over. That section of the highway was closed as crews cleaned up that crash.
OPP say there were minor injuries involved. Everything was reopened within an hour.
