The closure affected those who were heading toward the Thousand Islands crossing.
Traffic has returned to normal after a transport truck rollover forced the closure of a busy highway ramp near Lansdowne.
According to Leeds County OPP, the westbound off-ramp from Highway 401 to Highway 137 was shut down following the single-vehicle collision.
Emergency crews responded after the truck rolled over on the ramp, prompting a temporary closure and traffic delays for drivers heading toward the Thousand Islands crossing. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes while crews worked to manage the scene and clear the roadway.
Police now report the scene has been cleared and the ramp has fully reopened to traffic. Injuries sustained in the collision are considered minor.
The incident briefly impacted traffic flow in the Leeds and Grenville region, but conditions have since returned to normal following the cleanup and reopening of the ramp.
