John Jordan, MPP for Lanark–Frontenac–Kingston, will assist the Minister of Health and the Minister of Long-Term Care.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford has named four eastern Ontario MPPs as parliamentary assistants to help deliver on his government's plans.
The move comes as Ontario works to protect the province from U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs and the economic uncertainty they bring.
Parliamentary assistants support cabinet ministers with legislation, committees and special projects. They also help communicate government policies across the province.
Tyler Allsopp, MPP for Bay of Quinte, will support the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. Ric Bresee, MPP for Hastings–Lennox and Addington, will help both the transportation and seniors ministers.
Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds–Grenville–Thousand Islands, was named parliamentary assistant to the Premier. He will also serve as Government House Leader.
John Jordan, MPP for Lanark–Frontenac–Kingston, will assist the Minister of Health and the Minister of Long-Term Care.
Ford says the appointments will support key files and provide strong leadership across Ontario.
