No damage or injuries as crews were battled the blaze at the St. Remy Pl. site Friday.
No one was hurt after a fire gutted some boats that were already set to be destroyed.
Kingston Fire and Rescue were initially called to the Waste Management transfer facility on St Remy Pl late Friday afternoon about a structure fire.
When crews arrived there was no structure fire but found three boats engulfed in flames. Smoke could be seen from as far as Sir John A Macdonald Blvd and Bath Rd.
The fire was quickly contained. There was no damage to other areas of the property.
Fire officials determined that because the vessels were slated for demolition there was no cash value.
They say there is no reason to believe the fire was suspicious in nature.
