People’s Choice Award goes to two acts.
The 2025 Kingston Buskers Rendezvous wrapped up with a rare twist at Sunday’s Grand Finale — a tie for the People’s Choice Award.
The crowd couldn’t choose between The Twins’ Trip, an acrobatic duo of identical twins from Argentina making their Canadian debut, and circus veteran Richard Filby from Australia via London. It was only the third tie in the festival’s 35-year history.
Both acts are now invited to return next year to perform again.
This year’s event also raised money for United Way’s Success By 6 program, supporting early childhood development in Kingston. Thousands of people attended the four-day festival, which included new family-friendly features like Juggle Junction — a kids’ area with inflatables, live music, and hands-on workshops.
Despite the hot weather, the crowds stayed strong all weekend. The 2026 festival is already in the works and is set for July 9 to 12.
