Kingston is teaming up with three other communities in an effort to lobby VIA Rail for improvements to train service along the Eastern Ontario corridor.
In a news release, the City is partnering with Port Hope, Belleville and Cobourg to gather public feedback on the idea of additional train service in the region.
That would include a late-night train option from Toronto to Kingston.
There is a survey out to gauge feedback from residents on new train service options.
You can access the survey here.
Deadline to participate in the survey is Nov. 17.
Kingston City Council recently passed a motion from Mayor Bryan Paterson calling on VIA to strengthen regional connections and consider adding more routes.
