City could hold Blue Jays viewing party for ALCS clincher

Mayor says if the Blue Jays are a win away from clinching, they will show the game at Springer Market Square.

Springer Market Square could turn into a birds nest depending on how the Blue Jays fare in the playoffs.

Kingston Mayor Bryan Paterson tells Reid and Ben of 98.3 FLY FM that if the Blue Jays are in a position to clinch the American League pennant, they would show the game on the big screen at the square.

Paterson says there are other factors to consider before the City commits to showing the game.

Toronto has won the last two games in the best-of-seven ALCS with the Seattle Mariners. The series is tied at 2-2 with Game Five going Friday night in Seattle.

If the Blue Jays win Game Five, they would be in a position to clinch the series on Sunday at Rogers Centre.
