A burst pipe damaged the ice-making equipment in January forcing hockey and ice-skating programs to be relocated to other arenas.
A popular rink will be back up and running again.
The City of Kingston is reopening the doors to Centre 70 this Saturday, Oct 17.
The facility had been closed for most of the year as repairs were being made to a burst pipe that damaged the ice-making equipment in January.
Many hockey tournaments and ice-skating programs that were scheduled at the UFIT Rink had to be diverted to other arenas.
Now that the equipment has been repaired, programs will be returning to the rink.
The City is thanking UFIT’s investment in Centre 70 and its support of opportunities for residents of all ages to participate in sport and recreation.
