Important changes brewing
Cataraqui Conservation is inviting public feedback on its updated regulatory policies.
Regulation 41/24 aims to prevent natural hazards, such as flooding and erosion, when changes are made to properties.
The update is part of a five-year review that began in 2022 and was paused until a new province-wide regulation took effect on April 1, 2024.
The current consultation phase focuses on improving policy clarity and aligning with Ontario Regulation 41/24. The proposed amendments include new language and terminology updates.
The consultation period is open from October 1 to October 31, 2024. All public feedback will be reviewed by Cataraqui Conservation staff, the Planning and Permitting Ad-Hoc Committee, and the Full Authority Board before the policy is finalized.
Interested parties can access the report and provide comments through Cataraqui Conservation's website.
