The former Ontario Premier recently spoke to students at the university.
A former Ontario Premier will be joining Queen's University as a Matthews Fellow.
The university announced last week that Bob Rae will be a fellow in Global Public Policy at the Queen’s School of Policy Studies.
Rae was at the university on Nov. 20 speaking in front of a group of students discussing the issues that Canada and the world are facing. It was his first public appearance since completing a five-year term as Canada's Ambassador at the United Nations.
SPS Acting Director Eugene Lang told the audience Rae has been sought after by governments in Ottawa and in Queen’s Park for his intelligence, judgment, wisdom, sensitivity, and advice. Now he will bring that experience to Queen's University.
In addition to his experience at the UN and provincial politics, Rae was also an MP and interim leader of the federal Liberals.
