Proceeds go to support Kingston Health Sciences Centre.
McDonald’s is serving up more than meals today, as restaurants across the region rally behind local health care with Hospital Day.
On Thursday, Oct. 2, McDonald’s locations are donating $1 from every Big Mac and McChicken meal sold, along with 50 cents from every medium, large and extra-large coffee, to support Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC).
The fundraiser is part of a long-standing tradition of community giving through McDonald’s, with proceeds helping to fund patient care and services. Similar donations will also support the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation in Napanee.
Supporters say the event is an easy way for people to give back while enjoying a favourite meal or coffee.
Hospital Day donations will go directly to hospital foundations, supporting equipment, services and programs that benefit patients and families in Kingston and the surrounding area.
