Best young Kingston area professionals named on KEDC list

One of the 40 is WOW FM's afternoon announcer Sideshow.

Young people from public and private sector industries were recognized by the Kingston Economic Development Corporation.

They released its list of the 40 top professionals in the Limestone City under the age of 40 on Wednesday.

In a news release, the third-annual Kingston Young Professionals 40 Under 40 Awards celebrates individuals who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievements, community involvement, and leadership in their fields. 

It says this year's recipients demonstrate the remarkable depth and diversity of young professional talent that calls Kingston home.

Among the 40 that were named was 102.7 WOW FM afternoon announcer Sideshow.

KEDC CEO Donna Gillespie, in a statement, says that there were more than 100 nominees submitted for consideration.

She says that is the most they have received since the program began.

Awards will be handed out Sept. 17.
