Police stopped 61 vehicles for speeding, one was clocked going twice the posted speed limit.
Kingston Police Service handed out a number of traffic infractions over the Easter long weekend.
They recently completed a traffic blitz focusing on those who drive aggressively.
They released a statement saying 78 tickets were issued between Good Friday and Easter Monday. 61 of those infractions were for speeding.
They say the average speeding infraction was 30 km/h over the posted speed limit. One vehicle was clocked going close to 120 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.
Other tickets being issued include: 8 for disobeying lane light, 5 for disobeying stop signs, 2 for expired permits, and 1 each for failing to display two licence plates and for operating a trailer without a licence plate.
There were also 26 warnings issued for various administrative and moving violations.
Police say aggressive and high-risk driving behaviours can significantly increase the likelihood of serious collisions. They are urging people to drive responsibly when out on the roads.
