$500K donation to bring new skate park and pump track to Loyalist Township

The brand-new skate park and pump track is expected to open in the spring.

Loyalist Township is getting a major boost to youth recreation thanks to a generous $500,000 donation from an anonymous donor. The money will fund a brand-new skate park and pump track, expected to open in spring 2026.

Town council reviewed the donor’s proposal on June 10 and gave staff the green light to move forward. Public consultations on the project’s design will begin soon, with input gathered through the Township’s website.

The new facility will be located at Loyalist Park, a space large enough to support multiple uses without affecting current events like TuNes Days.

The donor will cover all costs related to design and construction, working with an expert engineering firm and Township staff. Loyalist Township will only be responsible for oversight and future maintenance.

Officials say the project will provide much-needed recreation space for children and youth—an underserved group in the community.
