2026 Kingston Municipal Election: District 9: Williamsville

Vincent Cinanni returns to serve another four-year term on council.

This is a series of profiles of the candidates running in this year's municipal election in Kingston.

Today, we are highlighting District 9 - Williamsville.

The community combines vibrant commercial activity, unique independent shops, and diverse dining options. Among the significant landmarks is the Kingston Memorial Centre, home to the weekly Sunday Memorial Centre Farmers' Market and the annual Fall Fair. Williamsville also encompasses part of the University District.

Incumbent Vincent Cinanni is back as the district councillor having acclaimed the seat when no one else put their name in after the August 21 deadline.

Were you surprised to learn that no one is challenging you for the seat?

What kind of feedback have you heard from residents?

What do you hope to accomplish in the next term of Council?

You said you are often knocking on doors of homes, what do you talk about with them?

Kingston residents will be electing a new council on October 26.
