Today: The Career Collective Job Connections Fair is set for today, offering a fun and welcoming chance for job seekers to meet local employers, explore in-demand skills, discover career resources and build connections. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Today: The Kingston Gymnastics Club will celebrate the end of its 2025-26 season with a free community barbecue and year-end celebration today. Families can enjoy obstacle course challenges, games, athlete demonstrations and more while recognizing the achievements of athletes, coaches and volunteers. The event also welcomes new families to learn about the club and connect with the gymnastics community.
Tomorrow: Celebrate Philippine Independence Day at Confederation Park tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. The free community festival features vibrant cultural performances, delicious Filipino cuisine, family-friendly activities and cultural displays. Organized by PIC-KO, everyone is welcome to experience Filipino heritage while celebrating diversity and multiculturalism.
Tomorrow: Downtown Kingston comes alive tomorrow, as the Princess Street Promenade transforms Princess Street into a lively pedestrian festival. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. visitors can explore more than 100 local businesses and community groups while enjoying live music, games, free samples, family-friendly activities and exclusive one-day shopping deals.
Local Sports:
Kingston’s Woodbine Park will host a thrilling three-day BMX race weekend that starts today to the 21st, featuring the Race for Life fundraiser, Gold Cup Qualifier and Provincial Series action. Spectators are welcome to cheer on riders and enjoy the high-speed excitement.
Adults are invited to enjoy a fun and social game of pickleball today! They have plenty of classes scheduled throughout the day at the Kingston East Community Centre. Open to a variety of skill levels, the recreational session provides pickleballs, while participants are asked to bring their own paddle. Times available: 12:30-2:30pm, 1-3pm, 3-5pm, 7-8:30pm.
Youth ages 10 to 12 are invited to enjoy non-competitive shinny hockey tonight from 7:30 to 8:20 p.m. at the INVISTA Centre. Staff will organize teams and supervise the recreational games, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Pre-registration is required.
