Today: Author R. Bruce Macdonald discusses his book Sound Like a Sailor tonight, at the Great Lakes Museum. The talk explores the nautical origins of everyday expressions. Admission is $15, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Today: The Kingston Public Market, Ontario’s oldest public market, runs downtown with vendors offering fresh local produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, preserves and crafts, From 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The historic market serves as a vibrant gathering place for residents and visitors alike throughout the year.
Today & Tomorrow: Spirit of Winter: Enchanted transforms Springer Market Square into a downtown winter wonderland. Visitors can stroll illuminated forest displays, skate under the stars, and enjoy s’mores by the fire as seasonal magic fills the square during the colder months ahead. Also, by popular demand this event has been extended to the end of the month!
Tomorrow: Daft Brewing hosts karaoke every Friday from 9 p.m. to midnight. The free event is open to guests 19 and older and invites the community to sing along in a relaxed, social setting.
