Today: Artist Michelle Reid presents Silk Road Diaries this evening at the Tett Centre’s Rehearsal Hall. The 6:30 p.m. talk explores creative exchange in China through travel, collaboration and art, followed by a Q&A. The all-ages, pay-what-you-can event supports the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning.
Today: Buckle Blues Jam and Songwriters Night hits The Buckle on Princess Street tonight. Local musicians and music fans can drop in from 7 to 10 p.m. for live blues, original songs and an intimate downtown jam session.
Tomorrow: The Kingston Public Market runs tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Market Square behind City Hall. Ontario’s oldest public market offers fresh local food, local vendors and a longstanding community gathering place in downtown Kingston.
Local Sports:
Hockey fans can catch the Kingston Frontenacs lighting up Slush Puppie Place Friday night as they host the Brantford Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
In PJHL action, the Napanee Raiders clash with Picton tomorrow at 7:30 p.m., while the Amherstview Jets hit the ice against Port Hope tonight at 7:30.
