Here's what you need to know to ease the headaches
Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians in Kingston should prepare for delays this week due to several road closures.
In the downtown core, King Street between The Tragically Hip Way and Place D’Armes is closed daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until June 27 for Queen’s University Convocation ceremonies at Slush Puppie Place.
Additional closures include South Bartlett Street from Smith to Victoria, and Victoria Street from Princess to North Bartlett, both blocked until August 29 for construction.
Victoria Street from Union to Johnson is also closed for sewer and roadwork.
Meanwhile, Sydenham Street between Princess and Queen will remain closed until October 3 as part of the Sydenham Street Community Space initiative.
The LaSalle Causeway will be fully closed on Sunday, June 29 to all traffic for a temporary opening of the main marine navigation channel, according to Public Services and Procurement Canada.
Plan extra time and watch for signs in affected areas.
