Queen’s University reaches tentative deal with support workers

Details of deal with support staff forthcoming

Queen’s University and the United Steelworkers (USW) Local 2010 have reached a tentative agreement to renew their Collective Agreement. 

The union represents about 1,200 general support staff at the university.

The deal is still subject to ratification by both parties, and full details will remain confidential until then. 

The university expressed satisfaction with the agreement, highlighting the importance of its employees in supporting the school’s operations.

USW Local 2010 has not yet released a statement but is expected to present the agreement to its members for a vote.

The tentative agreement is expected to provide stability for both workers and the university, ensuring continued support for students and staff.
