Kingston falls 5-3 to Sarnia in its second home game of the season
The Kingston Frontenacs have suffered their first loss of the OHL season.
Kingston fell 5-3 to the Sarnia Sting at Slush Puppie Place Friday night, ending the Frontenacs’ two-game winning streak.
It was Kingston’s second home game and third game overall this season.
The Frontenacs opened the scoring in the first period when Tomas Pobezal found the back of the net, but Sarnia answered with two goals before the end of the frame.
The Sting added two more in the second to take a 4-1 lead heading into the third.
Nolan Buttar and Vann Williamson scored for Kingston in the final period, but Sarnia added an insurance goal to hold on for the win.
Kingston head coach Troy Mann says he was not impressed with his team’s performance.

The Frontenacs will try to bounce back Saturday night in Brantford against the Bulldogs.
